History of BUKPOL
Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow
BUKPOL is a family-owned company run by the second generation of the Łagodziński Family. However, our family’s business traditions date back to the end of the 19th century, when our great-grandfather Feliks opened a pharmacy in Radom in 1885…
…after almost 140 years, history has come full circle, as Bukpol now supplies the majority of its production to the medical industry…
We draw on history and look boldly to the future!
For years we have been building the company and the Bukpol community on the basis of the values that guide us: ambition, family, security, patience, flexibility, experience, empathy, competence, loyalty, dreams, courage, passion, openness, trust.

Pharmacy and pharmacy warehouse – Feliks Łagodziński – Radom
In July 1895, Feliks Jan Łagodziński senior, a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Dorpat University, bought the Hoppen Pharmacy, located in the Karsch House in what was then Soborny Square.
Soon after, he started the first production of herbal medicines in the Kingdom of Poland.
In 1927, the company was taken over by his son, Feliks Tadeusz Łagodziński, who had graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacology at Warsaw University two years earlier. He also took over the factory of pharmaceutical and galenic preparations with steam equipment located next to the pharmacy – one of the first in Poland. The factory was famous, not only in Radom, for the fact that its owner introduced social privileges for his employees, which were unusual for that time. Feliks Tadeusz was also the first pharmacist in the city who decided to employ women in the pharmacy.
After the Second World War, Feliks returned to Radom in October 1946 and once again ran the pharmacy at the current location at 3 Maja Street, until 1950, when his business was nationalised. The pharmacy is still in operation.

Hotel Europejski – Łagodziński – Radom
The hotel was founded by the owner of a pharmacy, Feliks Łagodziński. The hotel was opened in 1898, next to the Karsch and Wickenhagen Palace at 5 Konstytucji Sq. The name Hotel Europejski alluded to Warsaw’s Europejski, which had no equal in the entire Kingdom of Poland and was an unrivalled model for others. It suggested elegance.
Although the hotel was far from the standard of the Warsaw’s Europejski, it was considered the best in Radom for decades to come.

Breeding of mushrooms – Łagodziński Marek – Bukowiec
